2205 2B Stainless Cold Rolled Coils: cold rolled commonly used in the steel industry, different from hot-rolled coils. It refers to the steel strip that is directly rolled into a certain thickness with a roll at room temperature and rolled into a full coil with a winder. Compared with hot-rolled coils, cold-rolled coils have a brighter surface and a higher finish, but produce more internal stress, and are often annealed after cold-rolling.
Duplex stainless steel 2205 alloy is a duplex stainless steel consisting of 22% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel nitrogen alloy. The yield strength of 2205 duplex stainless steel is more than double that of regular austenitic stainless steel, which allows designers to design products with reduced weight and gives this alloy a price advantage over 316,317L.
