444 Stainless steel Hexagonal steel is an ultra-low carbon nitrogen, 18% chromium and 2% molybdenum, high corrosion resistance ferritic stainless steel. The steel is generally stabilized by niobium or titanium, which can avoid intergranular corrosion after welding. The steel is particularly suitable for use in various water treatment devices. 444 steel belongs to high alloy ferritic stainless steel, compared with the common steel SUS430:1. Chromium content is high about 1.0%, and the addition of molybdenum (Mo) alloy element, so the steel has good pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion ability, its corrosion resistance in some areas even better than SUS304 and SUS316. 2. Titanium (Ti), niobium (Nb), zirconium (Zr) and other stabilizing elements are added, so the steel has good resistance to intergranular corrosion and high temperature oxidation.
